Embellish Color Trends: Embossed Flowers AND CFC #16

Hey y'all.  I have been having a MAJOR case of crafter's block.  I can't tell you how frustrating it is to create project after project that you feel is inadequate.  I vowed to lay-off the challenges (except for Triplicate Trials Tuesday of course) until next week.  You know, just to give my brain a rest.  But, then, I started feeling tense and stressed so, I decided to try my hand at both the Embellish Color Trends Challenge as well as the CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  They kind of go hand in hand this week.  Let me preface what you are about to see by saying that I don't have a camera.  I lost mine and I'm saving to replace it so, in the interim, I'm using my phone (I know...don't judge me).  So, I take lots of angles to try and capture light.  So, that's why they're so many photos.  Hope you guys enjoy!  Thanks for stopping in!

Embellish Color Trends Challenge with Patterned Paper

My, my how time flies!  I can't believe that it's almost time to embrace the weekend again!  The week has zoomed by!  Today I presented a Lunch and Learn on Admin. procedures and I NAILED IT!  I got so much positive feed back.  I'm actually very proud of myself.  So, tonight I crafted to celebrate and not to release any stress.  The result is an entry for the Embellish Color Trends Challenge.  Check it out!

I have to admit, these colors had me scared.  But, I think I conquered my fear! ;)

Embellish Color Trends...Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Hey Bloggeritas!  There is something about a rainbow that can literally alter your mood as soon as you see it.  For me, a rainbow is the promise of all of life's elements coming together to work cohesively at something.  I don't know.  I personify all the colors and imagine that they're talking to each saying "okay guys let's make something special"!  I know, I know...my imagination is crazy.

Anyway, I wanted to share my card with you for the Embellish Color Trends challenge.  I always feel like I'm playing in the wrong sandbox when I enter cards into this challenge.  I hope I'm not insulting the DT by submitting unworthy work!  They are some crafty heavyweights.  Their projects are always awesome.  Anywho...here is the tea (you know, the good stuff):

Hope you like it!

P.S. I'm also entering this card into the Unity Stamp Co.'s Friends with Flair!

Embellish Color Trends Challenge with Text!

Hey Bloggeritas!  Time for another go 'round with the Embellish Color Trends challenge!  This time, you are required to incorporate TEXT into your project.  The colors are so subdued and peaceful and they seem to go well with a get well card.  Here are the juices and berries:

I just love the Ad Sense stamps and dies from PTI.  I really enjoy the flare they add to any project.  Well, that's it for now.  See you later!

Embellish Color Trends and FTL 140

Hey y'all!  Do you enjoy playing with different card making/scrapbooking styles?  I do.  It's like changing up your hair and clothes.  I'm going to start letting my quirky and fun side show a bit more in my cards.  Why not right?  They're my cards and they'll be CAS if I want to, Shabby chic if I want them to, FUN if I want them to!  Too much blog singing?  Well guess what?  I'm going to share a little secret with you...I have musical turrets.  I'm prone to bursting out into song radomly all day and even in my sleep!

I digress...let's get down to the juices and berries of the Embellish Color Trends challenge (use a tag too) and the Clean and Simple sketch challenge #140.

I struggle with these pictures y'all.  Someone stole my digital camera (or I could have lost it) and I've been using my phone to take pics.  It's a pretty awesome smart phone but...eh...what are you going to do? I hope you enjoyed the card!

Square card Embellish Mag Color Trends Challenge

I am just worn out!  I swear I've been burning the candle at both ends for so long that, there is only wick left.  A lady came into the office today, greeted me and then I walked past her desk and said "Hey" I didn't know you were here!  WOW talk about brain fart...I think I had a brain blow out!  Anyway, making this card last night was a lot of fun!  Here are the juices and berries of the Embellish Color Trends Challenge:

I used a neat embellisment I bought from Emma's Paperie.  It makes the whole card don't you think?  Enjoy your day!

Embellish Crochet Trim Color Trends challenge + SSD73

Due to the fact that it is Confederate Memorial Day (sigh...), traffic was great coming into work!  This week, my husband and I are begining our new healthy life cruising into the big 3-0!  Next year we will both be 30 and we want to make sure we're fabulous, fit and fine! :)  We also want to run the Peachtree Road Race here in Atlanta so, it's an uphill battle, but, we're ready!  On top of all that, we both want to be around for as long as possible to enjoy our son.

Moving right along...here are the juices and berries of the Embellish mag challenge as well as the Skipping Stones Design sketch:

Great inspiration right?  You know what I made...A MOTHER'S DAY CARD!  Yaaaay!

Since Friday was Earth Day, I've been thinking about how I could maximize the use of all the paper I devour.  The shape with the sentiment on it is actually a Papertrey Ink label from a package of paper I bought from them.  Awesome right?  I'll talk with you all soon...LATERS!

Here are the juices and berries:

Here is what I came up with:

I just LOVE the sentiment!  This could be an uplifting card for a man in your life that needs a little encouragement!  If you can't clearly read it is says:  "Live is not about waiting for the storm to pass but, learning to dance in the rain."  Isn't that true?  Anyway, I hope you're enjoying your Monday!

Ink:  SU! (Marina Mist), Ranger (Pitch Black), Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Starfish)

Embellish Color Trends Challenge

Even though it's been raining here in Atlanta, I had a great day.  The sun was shining in my soul all day today.  My mother-in-love and I hung out with my son (who calls her "Ga"...guess that's supposed to be grandma).  We had fun eating at Cracker Barrel and using our 40% off coupons at Hobby Lobby.  I needed to refill my Glue Arts Glue Glider Gun...I swear by that thing.  They had all the Glue Arts cartridges 30% off!  Also, if you need to build your Nesties library, using the 40% off coupon at HL is the way to do it!

While Picard was taking his AM nap, I came up with a little ditty for the Embellish Color Trends Challenge.  Calling it a ditty is totally applicable because music is one of the required elements.

 Here is my offering:

This card is HUGE!  I don't know what I was thinking!  It came out to be very cute if I do say so myself...and I do! :)  SN:  I work at an architecture firm and the interiors dept. gets rid of fabric samples that they don't need and I'm always willing to take them off of their hands so, I used one on this card...awesome.

Supplies:
Paper:  PTI (Kraft, Raspberry Fizz), DP (Webster's Pages), HL
Ink:  SU! (Crushed Curry), Versamark, Tom Holtz (Worn Lipstick)
Stamps:  Skipping Stones Designs (Heartsong)
Ribbon, Buttons, Fabric:  My stash
Other:  Yellow Bicycle (Die cut)
