It's a STRETCH Sketch Challenge RIS #F911

What's up dolls?  There was some snow on the ground when I woke up today.  I was so happy to see all the trees and yards lightly dusted with fluffy snow.  I was thinking maybe they'd cancel work today but, alas...they did not.  The snow didn't impede traffic so, needless to say I'm at my 9 to 5.  I'm grateful for my j-o-b don't get me wrong!  I just could have used the extra zzzs.

So, last night I made a darling card using a neat set from Papertrey Ink called "A Year in Flowers:  January Carnation"  It is a very simple card and I like that...clean, fresh and simple.

I used a sketch from Repeat Impressions but, I really stretched it with this one.  When using sketches I like to at least try to not mix them up too much but, I may have gone too far this time.  You be the judge...but, if you don't like it...don't tell me, okay?

Here is the sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

You can't really tell from this photo but,the flowers are popped up by some mounting squares.
Here is how I created this little darling:
1.  I cut an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of purple card stock from Hobby Lobby to the dimensions of 5" x 10".
2.  I used my Martha Stewart Score Board to score the card at 5".
3.  I stamped three carnations in Memento Black ink on PTI card stock in Spring Rain, Summer Sunrise and Raspberry Fizz.
4.  Using my craft scissors I cut each flower out.
5.  Using 3M mounting squares I made a grouping of the flowers on the front of the card.
6.  Using Glue Arts Glider Pro Perma tac I adhered the ribbon to the card and made a bow.
7.  I adhered yellow, blue and fuchsia pearls to the front of the carnations.
8.  I stamped "You Are Fabulous" (Michael's $1 bin) in Fresh Snow from PTI.

VOILA!

So, what do you think?  Did I ruin the sketch?

Why put off crafting for tomorrow when you can craft today?
