Season's Greetings...

The beautiful part about Christmas season is that there are infinite traditions and infinite ways to celebrate.  For some, this is the most hallowed of holidays.  For others, it is simply the season to embrace all that is good about humanity.  And let's face it...for many it's about SHOPPING!

It is my most favorite holiday.  I love the food, the family, the music, the togetherness...  As a mother, Christmas has taken on a whole 'nother meaning.  My husband and I look forward to shopping for our son together and then surprising him on the big day!  That's my inspiration for today's card.  I'm submitting this design for the Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes Challenge.

I'm all kinds of in love with Tim Holtz's watercolor paper.  I just love the texture.

I used dimensional tape and glossy accents make the shop windows and lantern pop.

The sentiment is from Freckled Fawn.  I thought it was so appropriate.

Inspiration:  Small town USA, downtown.  You know, Main Street where the lamp posts are decorated and the attached shops are lovely and charming.

Supplies:
Markers - Copic (lots of 'em)
Sentiment stamp - Freckled Fawn

Photo Inspiration...

When I think of blue, pink and yellow, together, I always think of sunset.  I think of the sun streaking warm waves across the sky.  I think of the dark silhouettes of birds and heavily perfumed, cool air hanging in the atmosphere.

Here I am waxing poetic about colors!  Do you ever do that?

Anyway, the inspiration photo challenge is going on over at Paper Smooches Sparks challenge blog.  The colors in the photo move me...as you can see! LOL!

This is my version of sunset on a card.  It eases my spirit.

Snappy...

Cameras have revolutionized the way we preserve our memories.  They evolve over the years producing sharp, high-definition photos. In the craft world, we include these memory keepers in our craft projects.  They're perfect for puns such as this one below:

I love these resin letters.  I scored them at Michael's for only a buck!

I'm entering this card into the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.

CHEESE!

I Believe in Unicorns...

I sat in my studio with the intention of making a very sophisticated card.  I wanted it to be elegant...stately even.  Then, I took a look at one of my new Paper Smooches purchases, Spectrum, and I instantly knew I was making an ultra girly unicorn card.

Hell, I believe in unicorns.  Metaphorically speaking.  I believe in the impossible, the unfathomable...  So, this is a tribute card to my inner 10 year old, magic believing, Lisa Frank loving, friendship bracelet making, singing into the hairbrush, wedding dress sketching, down-down baby, down by the roller coaster chanting self.

I'm entering this beaut into the Virginia's View Die Cut challenge.  I used the coordinating Spectrum Icon dies and I LOVE the outcome!

I believe.

Balloons, A Monkey and 3D Buildings...

If you look through the posts on this blog, you'll see that I use Paper Smooches Stamps more than any other brand.  I think it's because they're versatile yet whimsical.  They truly tickle my crafty bone.  Since I've been on a paper crafting hiatus, I'm behind on the new releases.  I don't even have any PS dies yet!  Until I can update my stash, I'm going to continue to use my fave sets.

I've got another card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge - Anything Goes.

Here is my card:

Details, details:

Exactly like I said, versatile and whimsical.  I love my Paper Smooches!

All These Hearts...

Hey y'all!  Recently, I had a Prophylactic Bilateral Mastectomy (I dish all about it on my lifestyle blog HERE).  I have received a deluge of love and support from family, friends as well as people from social media.  It has been beyond humbling.

Life has kept me away from paper crafting.  However, while I'm recovering, paper crafting and I have been reunited!

When I read the CAS-ual Fridays "Summertime Colors Heart" challenge (CFC133), I had to play!  Since I've been on such a long paper crafting hiatus, I don't own any Casual Fridays stamp sets.  So, I used a stamp set from one of my most favorite stamp companies, Paper Smooches.  I am also linking up with the Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes Challenge.

This is what I feel like...a love machine!  I couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for the love I've received.  Feels good to be back!

CFC120 - HELLO!

Well hello there!  So glad to be back!  I've been gone since May and I've missed papercrafting so much!  What was I doing?  Let see...growing, evolving and taking some much needed time to figure out what I wanted out of life.  You have to do that sometimes in order to keep going in a positive direction don't you think?

Oh!  I have a new name now!  It's "RoseRedd Paper Studio".  I changed the name to match my other blog, "RoseRedd Said The Miscellaneous Blog".  It's my lifestyle blog.  I wanted to have one internet identity.

So, now that we're all caught up, I'd like to share the card I created for the Cas-ual Fridays challenge for this week.  They've partnered with the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge as well so that made it fun and interesting.

Here is the inspiration photo:

Here is my card.  I used one of my favorite Paper Smooches sets to create this card.  Since I've been out of the game for about a six months, I don't have many "new" stamps and dies!  I've got to get caught up!

Paper piecing is by far my favorite stamping technique.  This horse was easy to piece for the most part.  The trick is to be patient when paper piecing!  This is not the technique for going fast!

The sentiment is #ToDieFor.  Love it!

Paper Smooches Love

Hey y'all!  I wanted to share I card that I created with some free Paper Smooches Digis.  I had so much fun.  These stamps really inspire you to bring out that inner whimsy.  Well anywho...here are the juices and berries!  Enjoy!

I fused together the sentiments.  My hubby was my inspiration for that.  His favorite colloquialism is "extra".  He's extra tired, the food is extra good and I'm extra pretty (to him of course).  So, I thought let's throw the bees and the eggs in there together and ask the viewer to "Bee EGG-stra Happy!"  Gotta love it!
